Welcome to the website for the Zygon Center for Religion and Science. The Zygon Center is located at the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago (LSTC). It is dedicated to relating religious traditions and the best scientific knowledge in order to gain insight into the origins, nature, and destiny of humans and their environment. The purpose of the Center is to bring together scientists, theologians, and other scholars to discuss and carry out research on basic questions and issues of human concern.

The Zygon Center sponsors three academic courses (offered through LSTC) each year: the Epic of Creation, the Future of Creation, and the Advanced Seminar in Religion and Science. ZCRS also sponsors conferences, symposia, and workshops throughout the year. An ongoing project is the HIV/AIDS Workshop for Medical and Religious Professionals. Information about these events and courses can be found on the website.

We hope you find this site informative and helpful. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or comments concerning the Center.
